Beware of the trap that you call a client anyone that has used your recruitment service, as this is not the case.  A client is someone who always gives you the brief - whether on a contingent, exclusive or retained basis. There are some recruitment companies that boast that 80% of their business is repeat, and that is where you want to be. You want to be striving to do the right thing 100% of the time and satisfying your clients more often than not. Strive to provide exceptional, not acceptable service.
